Itinerary

Day 01 :
Guwahati Airport / Railway Station And Transfer To Shillong (100 Km / 3 Hrs.)

On your arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Shillong, which is located at a height of 4969 feet. On the way, visit Umium Lake, a beautiful pictorial lake bordered by wooded hills. Relax and look at the beauty of nature. If you are more energetic, then you can go for a walk around the lakes. On arrival at Shillong, please check in at your hotel. The evening is your own, and you can, as usual, use it to go out and around as you wish. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 02 :
Excursion To Cherrapunjee (60 Kms / 2 Hrs)

Begin your day with an early breakfast at the hotel before proceeding to Cherrapunjee. While approaching the misty hills, you will look forward to the green-colored trees and the waterfalls. The first sightseeing attraction is the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, one of India’s highest waterfalls, which gives tourists a view of falling water from above. On your way back to Shillong, you can see the Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak, giving a bird’s eye view of the entire city and the rolling hills. End your day’s tour with an overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 03 :
Excursion to Jowai (110 km / 4-5 hrs)

Following an early breakfast, go on a full day’s trip to Jowai—a beautifully nestled district headquarters of the Jaintia Hills. The landscape beauty of Jowai is marked by the Myntdu River flowing around it. Your first stop should be at Krang Suri Waterfall; the water is blue, and there is a mystical feel around the area. Next, go to Tryshi Waterfalls, which is over a bridge that gives a beautiful view of the green paddy field and Pynthor Nein Valley. The next place to visit is Thadlaskein Lake, where boating and tourism are popular hobbies. Next, drive to the Nartiang Monoliths, which stand as the remnants of the megalithic culture of the Hynniewtrep tribe. Just next to it, visitors are free to visit the historical and architecturally beautiful Durga Temple, which was constructed 500 years ago. Go back to Shillong in the evening for a night’s accommodation.

Day 04 :
Excursion to Dawki & Mawlynnong (120 km / 4 hrs)

After an early breakfast, proceed to Dawki, a beautiful little town located at the border between India & Bangladesh. Here, you will be enchanted by the clear water of the Umangot River, one of India’s cleanest rivers. Go for a boat ride on the river to see the beautiful view. Move to your next destination, Mawlynnong, which is recognized as “The cleanest village in Asia.” Walk around and see how clean and united the village is—sightseeing the living root bridge, a biological wonder, and the balancing rock, an architectural wonder. Return to Shillong in the evening and spend the night in your hotel.

Day 05 :
Departure from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station (100 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Guwahati. On the way, stop at one of the holiest temples of the Indian subcontinent, namely the Kamakhya Temple of Guwahati, which is dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. The temple is open from the morning at 08:00 AM up to 01:00 PM and then from 03:00 PM to the night. After this, you can proceed to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station on a further journey, ending the enchanting tour of Shillong and its nearby places.
